AJ Smith-Shawver
A 7th round pick in the 2021 draft. He enjoyed a meteoric rise through the minors last season as he started in High-A before making his debut on June 4 vs the D-backs. He was a september call up and even made the Division Series roster, however struggle in 2 2/3 relief innings. He enters 2024 looking to make the Braves roster as their fifth starter., but will most likely return to the minors to hone his craft. His craft consist of a fastball that sits at 95 mph but can reach triple digits. His main strikeout pitch is a mid 80s slider with his changeup also missing lots of bats. His has reintroduce his curveball which could develop into a plus pitch.
